It started with this Maxi Dress from "Wallis" that I needed for an dinner event here in Jeddah last month. Its amazing, light, colorful, and cool just right for the type of weather here which is hot and humid. I couldn't stop wearing it including to my office. I had eyed it and when I finally decided to buy it, my size was out of stock in the Mall near my home. I had the salesman call 3 different stores all over Jeddah to find, and reserve it. It was the first thing to do on my list the next day. It is a buy that I am proud of.
These Maxi dresses are coming up every where her in Jeddah shopping malls mostly in bold bright colors. But I especially love the ones that are coming up in the "Wallis" stores.
I love bold colors that is one of my signature looks. I also kind of like flashy catching your eyes colors. Ahhh may be its all this hot weather around us ha?
The beginning of this month I was getting tired of my usual skirts for the office I wanted something new and something easy to wear without thinking of coordinating pieces together. Once the decision of an upcoming shopping spree was made I just went straight to "Wallis" and found exactly what I wanted, two more prize maxi dresses and I already have my eye on the 4th dress.
This left hand side photo of the bold turquoise dress was the next buy. I wore it the same day. Then this weekend I bought the more neutral colored dress on the right photo.
The last dress on the left side photo is still in my thoughts but the final decission hasn't been made yet, the only thing that is bothering me in this dress is the floating piece on the front. Hmm we'll see if it makes the final cut. Everyone who saw the dresses loved it. I am loving the colors of the fashion that is coming up in stores, its very beach bright oriented. Just right for Jeddah I think.
Its wrong wrong wrong for me to stop at any Bag store " just to take a quick look" HA!!!!! that never works for me especially that I am the kind of gal that is a bag gal more than a shoe girl.. I love bags.. so I had to do a fast erand today on my way home I wanted to get some coffee.. but I dint ask to be stoped just in front of the coffee house ..nooo I want to go from the main entrance of the small mall that happens to have a Nine West store just when you go through the entrance.. " whats the harm in just to glance at the window on my way to get my coffee.. Right?.. well that doesn't work that way.. EVER!!!.. the glance to catch my eye at a certain item.. I see a sale.. I see a bag.. I bring out my card.. I buy a bag.. or a slipper... its summer around the corner.. I need nice cute summer sexy slippers to show off my pedicure.. any ways I ended up buying this very nice handy especially when I am travelling.. doesn't take much space in my travelling bag.. and it brightens any outfit when you go out at night for dinner or something.. blah blah blah.. yah yah yah.. just any reason that makes it legitimate for me to buy the bag.. so I did and it made me happy.. I will take it with me in my next trip just to prove I was serious about the reason behind wasting my money.. :)

I LOVE IT!!! its my daily hand bag I fell in love with the color Turquoise is one of my favorites it was this color or red I choose this it reminds me of the color of the sea.. I had sat and debated between this bag and the one I got for quite a while but I opted for the convenience and the comfort on the above bag at the end since it will be my daily hand bag i need something that is quick and easy to get my unglass and wallet from and close securely this I couldn't close properly without a bit of a struggle with the zipper so I didn't take it.. "COACH SOHO SIGNATURE LACED HOBO" This collection and this particular bag has become popular in Jeddah with young working women and I can understand why its big enough to carry file s and important papers and maybe even your laptop but at the same time it gives a casual comfortable summer/spring colorful look to you as your off in the morning.. to me as I am leaving to my clinic it looked too casual.. that's why I had chosen the above instead.. i think what had put me off it for a work bag is the handle it was cloth too casual but if I was going to the beach its ideal or shopping on the weekend... "COACH HERITAGE STRIPE TOTE" Part of that collection is this one of the kind of bags that I really like when I am travelling and sightseeing it frees your hand while your taking photos especially that it would carry the essentials for the day this would look great with any sexy jeans and a nice T while you are wondering around in one of those hop on Hop Off buses which i usually take when ever I go to a new city it gives you time to see every thing as well as have stops at important sites to walk around or have lunch and stuff.. and with this bag you don't have to worry about forgetting it on the bus because it would be side ways hanged on you.. this is "COACH HERITAGE STRIPE SWINGPACK" I had seen this bangle in the catalogue before I went and too bad it wouldn't fit into my hand without hurting me.. I have a wide bony area in the mid of my hand so not every bangle fits.. "3/4" COACH BANGLE" Now this was something I really liked and most likely it will be bought in my next visit unless I get distracted by another key chain that is as cute as this one.. the seller was trying to sell me one of those key chains with a locked in it.. but I think I ve grown up for those romantic sentimental buys.. I am not as sentimental as I used to be... this is "New COSMETIC MIX KEYFOB" and here is another key chain that was really nice and elegant "HERITAGE DISCS KEY FOB" Don't worry I am not the kind that gets dressed from head to toe in one label like a sheep being stamped with one of those iron tattoos.. it happened that I like the work bag and the hand bag at the same time they were both right for a certain purpose..
The show has not been without controversy. Blogger Fun Lilliy, criticizes the show for giving air-time to super-skinny models. "Haven't they heard about Anorexia Nervosa which in some countries they are actually fighting the Fashion industry against promotion of excessive weight loss...and isn't part of the Arabic woman's appeal...her curves[?]"
Ha ha! someone is reading my posts out there.. :) I am glad that it was mentioned that not all of us find super skinny models sexy.. I like the look of healthy models not anorexic ones..
I always from time to time when I am overwhelmed by work or life .. I try to make a whole day just for me where I just concentrate on my self and my enjoyments.. I try to break the routine.. usually I choose a whole weekend day to do it... that day I dont think about work or troubles.. I think about me and what makes me happy and work on some things to learn or relax.. usually after a day like that I reboot and feel much more energized to deal with the stress in life.. so here some ideas for the women and some of it also works for the men, so please try it too....
#1 GOOD Night Sleep -------------------- So start with getting a good night sleep the night before.. - Turn off the alarm and the phone at night so you are not bothered .. - Have a nice chamomile tea - Place a candle light something like plain tea candles available at any IKEA or even a scented candle from The Body Shop or Aveda.. - Rub on some calming message oil I recommend Aveda Personal blends message formula which you can mix your own blend or any Lavender base Message oil or cream from your favorite products..
#2 GOOD Breakfast ----------------- - Dont rush out to go out today make time and prep something for your self and enjoy it in your PJ`s with your cup of coffee or tea in your favorite Mug and sit back and enjoy it .. - Here is a suggestion if you like fruits and oats taken from Shape.com its guilt free you will enjoy that you are eating something really good for you.. Apple-Cinnamon Compote With Toasted Oats
Choose the best buy of the day for your fruit compote, be it peaches, nectarines or apples. ( Note: I add to my oatmeal sometimes my favorite dry fruits or nuts too it keeps you feeling full for a while too )
Ingredients
1/3 cup rolled oats (not instant) 1/3 cup water 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 4 McIntosh apples, peeled, cored and sliced into 8 wedges each 1/3 cup raisins
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Spread oats on a baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes, until golden, shaking the pan halfway through cooking to promote even toasting; set aside.
Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Set pan over medium heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wire whisk. Add apple slices and raisins, cover and simmer 5 minutes, until apples are tender. Spoon compote into four individual bowls; top with toasted oats.

I was watching yesterday Mission:Fashion 07 ( who puts on an entertaining show ) on the LBC channel and when they were commenting on some of the models.. who actually got the highest marks on there evaluations and are healthy thin they commented " She didn't loss the weight she was asked to loss" and " she lost the weight she was asked to loss" .. Hello what is that?.. I was looking at those models they looked great.. Haven't they heard about Anorexia Nervosa which in some countries they are actually fighting the Fashion industry against promotion of excessive weight loss because so many young girls and especially models are dying from Anorexia Nervosa which is a killing disease.. and isn't part of the Arabic Woman appeal is her curves.. Why are we always promoting things that the west have learnt of its harm and are trying to fix it, and thats when we take it and promote the harmful part. Why cant we learn from there mistakes.. This reminds me of sunbathing.. it was started as a big trend in Jeddah just when everywhere in the world they were advertising sun-protection and sun-blocks to prevent skin cancer and premature aging.. A healthy weight is required not Obesity not Anorexia Please!
